Date night in SLC

One afternoon last month, my boss and some guys were taking the private jet to SLC for the Utah football game. Since there was an extra seat on the plane - they let me tag along and have a date night with my friend Christine.  The 5 hours went by way too fast...but we managed to squeeze in dinner with her cute family and date night at our favorite place City Creek for some shopping :)

Laura's Bridal Shower

In August I threw my best friend Laura's bridal shower brunch in my parent's backyard. I had the best time planning & decorating.  It was a perfect morning!

We've been best friends for 21 years, so there were a LOT of photos to choose from!

San Francisco has our heart.

If we could live anywhere, we are 99% sure it would be San Francisco.  We have been going once a year to visit my older brother that lives there - and every time we come home kicking and screaming.  We never want to leave SF!  It's the very best.  Since it's unlikely we will ever move there....we will continue visiting at LEAST once a year.  San Francisco has our hearts.

In July we went with my parents to visit my brother, and go to the John Mayer & Philip Phillips concert.  We had the best time...

Funny story.  My BFF Kelli moved to SF after falling in love with my brother's friend. (I like to take credit for them obviously) I am forever jealous that she gets to live there but forever happy I get to see her when I visit now :)

**I am looking for a wife for my brother.  He is 29, lives in SF, and has recently been interviewed for the SF Chronicle, Huffington Post & The New Yorker - his start up is on the verge of major success.....If there's any place to find him one, its standing outside Dry Bar, right???  If you are interested please let me know.  But seriously. ;)

Las Vegas...

Eric and I booked a last minute trip to Las Vegas for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Last year we went to San Francisco to celebrate our 1 year, and we were wanting to get out on a couple day getaway to celebrate this year. We stayed the first two nights at the Wynn (our favorite), and decided to stay the last night at the Cosmopolitan on our actual anniversary night.  We upgraded to a suite with a view of the Bellagio fountain - and it was definitely worth it!  Amazing view.  Eric and I spend all of our free time together outside of work as it is, but there is something so perfect about quality time away with your husband.  We had a great few days going on lots of long walks, shopping, trying new restaurants, and going to some amazing Cirque de Soleil shows.

Master Bedroom Design

My husband and I recently moved into a new home. The new house is double the size of our old one, and we have been having so much fun getting settled in!  One thing I didn't realize before the move was how much larger our new master bedroom was. Once we got our bedroom furniture into our new room I realized....we need more!  The first thing our new room needs is a bench at the foot of our bed. I've created an inspiration board to help get me started on our master bedroom design...

Happy 4 Years to This Guy :)

My first blog post! I have been a long-time blog lover, and I am so excited to [finally] join the blogging world. Jen Loves will be a place that I share all things I love: family & friend photos/our every day life, fashion, and anything I'm feeling inspired by. I thought I would keep my first post simple: with some photos of that certain someone I love most, my sweet husband Eric.
